2007 Externship Comments:
Thank you so much! This week was amazing, I learned a lot, felt a lot and want to know a lot more. Thanks for your professionalism and for fostering an atmosphere that was safe, fun, and empowering. Can't wait for what's next!
What I really appreciated was that the instructors really believe in the model, and really want us to get it. They are very supportive! Thank you!
This program has been invaluable to me in so many ways that are just becoming evident to me. I feel it will enrich my clinical work both individually as well as with couples. I am excited about being able to try some/all of these techniques- and making them mine. I look forward to this deepening my ability to work with affect and I think all of you for your excellent course so focused on helping me (us) to see and remain present with affect and attachment issues.
This was a great learning experience. Jim and Brent made a safe, comfortable space to explore and practice new counseling skills. I felt positively inspired to continue on the road to mastering this powerful new model of couples therapy. I believe I can start putting their techniques into practice right away, even though it certainly takes time to achieve true mastery of EFT.
Subject is of paramount importance for today's couples and families. Model has the power to create new interactions. Instruction has high pedagogic quality (e.g. demos, role plays - each participant takes a turn being a therapist, video clips, humor, group discussions). I have note been to a better training seminar. Thank you.
The very best training I've had in any therapy. I love this model. I want to make the heart and soul of my practice. The live sessions with blow by blow explanation were so informative. They make the model come alive. Practicing in groups was super. I want more to really get it.
I loved the format of the training and found the interactive aspects very helpful…Thank you for creating a very rich and fun experience for us. I enjoyed the energy in the room. I hope to see you both again in the future. Live sessions were great.
I thought this was the best seminar I have ever attended. It was well-prepared, very interesting, a well-thought-out pace, fun and challenging. Thank you so much!
One of the best conferences I have ever attended - well organized...Brent and Jim are fantastic presenters and so personable. They generate positive energy for the group which is both exciting and builds enthusiasm for EFT. Thanks so much for the great 4 days.
Having very limited previous exposure, I was initially overwhelmed by the complexity of the material. However, the role playing, videos and transcripts really provided an opportunity for me to create a basic understanding of the process. Thank you!
