LA Externship 2007
The Los Angeles Externship is now behind us. By all reports it was perhaps the best one yet for Jim and Brent. "Jim did a great job getting us set-up there in Pasadena," Brent reported. "The room was intimate, we had room for our break-out experiential exercises, and the food was always on time to keep us energized and on pace!"
This was the first EFT externship ever in L.A., and it set a perfect tone for the future. "Yes, we will do these every December here now," Jim said. "The group was tremendous. They soaked it up. They were very intelligent. Just what you'd expect from an L.A. group of therapists."
A special thanks goes out to Lisa Palmer for coming up from San Diego to be a great role-play leader throughout the week. You can contact Lisa through the San Diego Center for EFT.
Thanks also to Nick Lee for traveling from Indianapolis to do the same, and Dr. Keith Edwards who came over from Rosemead School of Psychology. "I think a real strength of our externships is the small groups," Brent said. "We try to have experienced EFT therapists in each group, all of the time. It's an experiential model - you need to be pushed to try it on, kick the tires a bit. And you need to experience what it's like to be a couple in role-plays as well."
